ROH officials are excited to announce that we have finalized the first match-up for our return to The Davis Arena in Louisville, KY on October 1st for our 2nd set of SBG TV Tapings! Just like we did in Chicago Ridge, IL with our debut tapings, Ring of Honor will present the absolute best professional wrestling available anywhere on the planet and in Louisville, it all starts with the best tag team division in professional wrestling today!
In a rematch of their battle at “Tag Team Turmoil 2011″ from Richmond in July, it will be The House of Truth, represented by Roderick Strong & “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin, against ROH World Champion Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards, The American Wolves! These four men had an top shelf battle in Virginia just a few months ago, and they will look to do the same in the Bluegrass State.
Edwards & Strong took each other to the limit at “Death Before Dishonor IX” where Eddie bested Roderick in the Ringmaster Challenge, Michael Elgin took the measure of Charlie Haas in NYC in a losing effort, and Davey Richards has been fighting as hard as ever in New Japan where, after he departs Louisville, he return to NJPW to team with Rocky Romero and challenge for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Titles!
“The last time we teamed” offered Edwards when informed of the match, “there were some miscommunication issues with me and Davey. Kyle got a little roughed up, and it was my fault, I took the blame one hundred percent. It’s been a couple months, Davey and I have mended that fence, I’ve made my apologies to Kyle quite a few times, and we’ve moved passed that. In Louisville Roddy, Elgin, I aim to repeat what happened in Virginia, what happens every time we get in the ring with each other Roderick. I’m not being cocky, I’m not bragging, I just think I’ve proven that I am the better athlete between me and you. In Louisville, on SBG TV, I’ll prove it again and I’ll keep proving it every time I step into that ring!”
