ROH: 1st Time Ever Bout Set For Collinsville!

It’s rare to find a match that hasn’t been done before in Ring of Honor. Given the highly competitive atmosphere, the hotly contested title belts, and number of events ran every year, it can be a difficult task to find match-ups that haven’t occurred before. But in Collinsville, IL on November 6th, when ROH returns to The Gateway Center for a special matinee event, the ROH faithful will get to experience one of those clashes.

The All Night Express have spent the whole of 2011 fighting their way to the top of the heap in the tag team division with their battles against The Briscoes. With the victory in Ladder War III, and the tag title opportunity they earned as a result, Rhett Titus and Kenny King have more than proven themselves to the world.

The American Wolves in 2011 are an all-together different story from The ANX. Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards have teamed on only a handful of occasions this year, and unfortunately, the majority of those instances have been wrought with miscommunication, most notably at “Honor Takes Center Stage Chapter 2” and at “No Escape”. One team is looking at a World Tag Title Match at “Glory by Honor X” while the other is looking at a potential battle at “Final Battle 2011” over the ROH World Title.

Whatever other circumstances there may be, both teams will have to focus as they collide at The Gateway Center for the first time ever. Both The All Night Express & The American Wolves provided their thoughts on this bout to the ROH camera backstage in Louisville this weekend, and those will be presented to the ROH faithful shortly.
