- It will be a great opportunity for fans in NYC on December 23rd to meet a true legend in combat sports. Dan “The Beast” Severn is one of the most accomplished amateur wrestlers in the history of the sport. Severn has won 13 AAU national championships and many other national titles and accolades. Severn became an immediate contender in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 1994 and was the UFC 5 tournament winner. Severn had continued UFC success and was the first winner of the Ultimate Ultimate tournament in 1995 and also won the UFC Superfight Championship. Severn’s success led to his induction into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2005 and he still competes in MMA at the age of 53 today. Severn has a listed 100-18-7 record, which is among the most wins and matches in MMA history. Severn is also an accomplished pro wrestler as he is a former two-time NWA champion and in addition, has competed in WWE and throughout Japan. It is without question that Eddie Edwards has become a more complete fighter since training with Severn and the knowledge and experience that Severn carries is priceless.

And after I smash whoever is in front of me in the Invitational Challenge, I will come out during the World title match and spoil the lovefest that is Davey and Eddie.”
